You might remember a while back when Marty talked to a Sith Doctor about getting his hand upgraded.  Here’s a link if you don’t.

Had a great time over at Moonhawk studios, the podcast was fun and rambling and a bit crazy.  They said it was the best worst podcast they’ve ever had, and I’m taking it as a compliment.  Listen if you have a chance, there’s some stuff about me and the comic in there for those who are interested.

Did Marty just catch Vulgaris’s lightsaber with his hand?

    • Cosmas says:

(see the Doctor’s note “about the comic” above.)
      Hmm… must be really special materials… cortosis-ore special, perhaps…

      …or something like that…

  2. Jandalman says:

    OH SNAP!!!

  3. Kaian says:

That’s one way to keep it getting cut off.

  4. Yodamann says:

    cosmas:
it would have to be phrik, cortosis shorts out lightsabers, phrik is just resistant.

  5. Robert says:

    Oh boy.

  6. Andrew says:

Or Mandalorian Iron. That works as well.

    • DrLegostar says:

I’m using just the one piece of Applied Phlebotinum for now, but I may go beyond it in the future. Right now it’s cortosis, but in the future I may use some of the others as well.

      • Traci says:

oooooh! wouldn’t it be fun to make a new array of lightsaber resistant materials? each with their various draw backs? i need to make a new universe just so i can make them up!!

  7. Anonymous says:

About the cortosis shorting out lightsabers, only SOME does that. I think I read some where that there are two kinds, one that shorts them out, which is very rare, and one the more common variety that just blocks it. So it COULD be cortosis.

    • The Raven says:

@ Anonymous, cortosis doesn’t actually short them out, it is relatively resistant, but can STILL be cut through. it just takes awhile. only surefire way to resist a lightsaber cut(besides the obvious dont let them cut you with a lightsaber of course) is Beskar’gam, also called mandalorian iron.

      • Bob says:

No, there are two types of cortosis. Pure cortosis ore shorts out lightsabers on contact, but a mixture of cortosis and other metals, known as cortosis weave, can block lightsaber attacks.

  8. Tycho7286 says:

Is there a princess bride: “I am not left handed either” reference here or am i reading to much into this?
