Dr. Terressa

This more or less happened to my brother-in-law’s girlfriend.  After her summer job in a lab she is pretty sure she’s not going into research after medical school.  I created this character in honor of her boss.

HEPES is a buffer I have used in many many experiments.  Some form of HEPES is often used when dealing with cultured cells.  I’ve heard several pronunciations of it from different labs, I started out pronouncing it “HEEPS” and when I was in grad school one of my bosses called it “Heep-Ees.”  So I really don’t know.  I’m sure all of you cared so very much about that.
