I mean, they did date for a long time, he owes her that much.

  1. pretty blossom says:

if she’s really guilty, I wouldn’t dare give her anything more complicated than a spoon, and even then be worried she’d use it to dissasemble the walls…
Of course, if she’s not guilty, she may finally get the peace and no interruptions she needs to finish fixing him.

  2. Mark says:

If Shauna were not actually a Sith, how would she have known that the captain was talking about 46, when he hadn’t explicitly mentioned it? All he said was… ‘an officer of this crew. if she were actually innocent, she shouldn’t have had any reason to jump to the conclusion that it was 46… particularly considering the time that has elapsed since that incident. Sith can read minds, so that would explain how she knew what he was talking about.

If 46 being damaged was supposed to have been brought up in this exchange since the last comic and before this one to have given context to the captain’s opening statement in this comic, it’s not particularly self-evident here, unless one is already assuming that Shauna is completely innocent and this whole thing is just a ruse.

    Just sayin’…

    • .:Archer 250:. says:

Isn’t 46 the ONLY one got attacked by a sith in that vessel?

    • GarfunkleHa says:

She’s been fixing 46 for some time, that’s how she knew,

      • Mark says:

Actually, she’s been time travelling for some time and hasn’t touched 46 in months.

And again… there would no particular reason for her to have jumped to the conclusion that the Captain was talking about 46 when he vaguely referred to ‘an officer of this crew’… unless she were actually guilty of the act in the first place. That the captain felt it necessary to further expound on the fact that with the “even if he is a droid…” comment, further implies that not everyone may have viewed the attack as murder in the first place, giving further reason for Shauna to have not immediately realized that he was talking about 46.

The only explanation, unless there was dialog between the last comic and this one which gave his accusation some context (something that is not at all clear from this comic unless you are presupposing that Shauna is actually entirely innocent in the first place), is that Shauna really did do it.

        Again… just sayin’.

  3. BrickVoid says:

When Shauna tries to fix 46, Darth Pestilous is sure to try and stop her. Excellent plan they’ve got, now if she actually fixes 46, could be one more chance they’ve got of nailing Pestilious once and for all! :D

  4. Luke G says:

Fits with it being a ploy to draw out the real sith. This now potentially accomplishes two things: gets their robot fixed, and draws out the real sith.

  5. Citroenboom says:

BrickVoid has my vote (and LukeG). It is far more likely Shauna is not the one.

  6. Kaian says:

And Marty is watching Natalie in the last panel.

    • the one and only joseph says:

and the two pannels before it as well. Its actualy quite obvious in the third pannel, if that dudes head wasnt in the way.

  7. Louise says:

Damn it – I just went back in the archives to the “9.11 If I Ever Lose My Faith” episode (15th April) where Capt. Bob’s future son (Robert Smith Jr.) is introduced, but he just refers to “my parents” – so no real indication of whether Shauna is his mother or not. ‘Cos that would’ve been a big hint to whether Shauna was really Darth Pestilous.

  8. T. Gatto says:

Just don’t give her a toaster to work with!

  9. RJBT says:

I’m telling you. Natalie is the conspirator.

  10. Taco says:

I love the fact that it is “attempted” murder and not actual murder.

  11. sky says:

Yeah, you’d think the chief engineer would have an idea of how to kill off a robot more effectively.

    • WJS says:

Whether it’s Shauna or not, whoever did it sabotaged him in such a clever fashion, she must have been able to kill him for good if she wanted to. I wonder why she didn’t?
