I think it’s vastly important that people realize that just because Red can be saved that easily, it doesn’t apply to everyone else.
Some webcomic readers have no idea how expendable minor characters are in the grand scheme of things!
Besides, Red’s got a genetic advantage from his ‘aunt’ (probably great-great-great-etc-grandmother), who’s immortal. Red’s got just enough of it to survive being pieced back together afterwards.
Maybe if they put some of Reds blood in her she will be fine.
