At one point I toyed with the idea of always have droid speech bubbles be square, kinda like how on Futurama their pupils are always square.  Just never really solidified.  Besides, I imagine even if every other droid had square speech bubbles, 46′s would still be round.

“Due to improper shutdown, one or more of your disks may have errors on them. Scandisk is checking drive C…”

I think he might be missing a few drivers.

  3. Col. Tatticky says:

Nah, I’d imagine swearing’s built into his BIOS. The shock probably reset his firmware (f***ware?) or something…

Man, about a dozen horrible double entendres on computer hard(!)ware just popped into my head. Dx

  4. BrickVoid says:

Hopefully Shauna hasn’t turned him into an expensive talking toaster! :D

If that jolt had fixed 46, there would be swear words that could be heard all over the ship! ;)

    • Gwarin says:

The position of the text balloons in the last two panels suggest that 46′s personality might have been transferred into the toaster in the background.

      • BrickVoid says:

Yeah, that thought had occurred to me. It’s also why I file reports regarding incorrectly positioned word balloon tails. It’s kind of hard to imagine, though, how a tazer shock to electronic equipment lying on a bed that would probably absorb most of the resulting electric discharge itself would instead jump over to a toaster-like object on the bench nearby! :D Maybe physics is wacky in LSG or something, I dunno.

        • Mr. Speck says:

It’s a parody of (among other things) Star Trek and Star Wars; the crew has fairly recently visited an anomaly that amplified the effect of fictional tropes.

I think we’re pretty safe in saying that wacky physics aren’t out of the question.

I’m more concerned that no one is commenting on the bagpipes.

    • MrGBH says:

Perfectly reasonable tools of the trade.

Plus, she’s the engineer, so of course she’s Scottish. (I think it’s a Star Trek reference.)

    • BrokenEye, the True False Prophet says:

The bagpipes get commented on every time a shot of Shauna’s workshop appears. I think they deserve a break every once and a while

  6. Brefin says:

Bing? So the toast is ready then?

  7. kwalk04 says:

dont tell me she uploaded vista into him? we’re all doomed….

  8. brickmack says:

Rebooting: the worst part of making a major change on a computer. Very terrifying, waiting to see if you broke anything. She probably just broke a bunch of stuff.

  9. Brae says:

    aww…no windows start-up soundeffect? :X
