Well, the old man is getting beat up by the banhammer ninja. I didn’t see this coming, but I can’t say I’m surprised, either.
Also, something occurred to me when I was going back in the archives to check if the old man was ever given a name (I couldn’t find one, btw). It would be really nice if there was a “forewards/backwards one week” button for the Star Pirates comics (and Second String, as well).
You know, even by the standards of the Star Pirates strips, the fact that it’s possible to delay a banhammer-carrier by *engaging him in hand-to-hand combat* raises some odd questions about the setup of this whole thing.
Time runs different in the forum, especially since you don’t count as “Active” in the game while perusing them, so… the BanHammer battle might only take a fractal of a second in game-time, but… we know that the hammer always strike true in the end!
The old man has a wizard staff, maybe he should shoot fireballs out of it or something. If he does not have a name yet, I suggest “Larry the Architect.”
