  1. Mr. Speck says:

Wait, we *still* don’t know what blew up Johnny’s fighter?

  2. BrickVoid says:

If it wasn’t for the fact that he’s an Admiral Ackbar lookalike, I’d ask Dr. Legostart to correct his sentence in his word balloon in the first paragraph: “taken back to ship”. 😀 It seems in-character that he’d mess up such a simple sentence in such a large-scale battle, so just let it stay there! 😉

  3. LordVargonius says:

You know, orbital bombardment can solve a lot of problems …

    • Paladin says:

Yes, but if it’s an inhabitable planet it can cause a lot of problems as well. On the other hand, ortillery (orbital artillery) works really well at solving problems if you have a competent spotter. (I would presume that whoever is down there has good EW and can’t be easily targeted with a ships sensors.)

      • LordVargonius says:

Ortillery (nice to see somebody else knows that word!) was what I had in mind, especially since they have an Iron Man on the ground to call the shots. And it is a volcanic planet and at least largely uninhabited, if I recall the wiki description correctly. To be sure, they probably can’t destroy the King in Yellow this way, but the Gravitas core would probably be safely destroyed if it were to instantly vaporize, and the same for the Ancient computer. That, and the evil minions would be far less numerous after a few torpedoes touched down.

        • LordVargonius says:

Also and unfortunately, ortillery doesn’t make a very plot-satisfying and suspenseful end to the story. :/

          • BrickVoid says:

Also, Ortillery would vaporize our heroes down there right now, if any of it malfunctioned and didn’t hit precisely where it should have. Weapons only have the accuracy their technology grants them, if anything goes wrong, Murphy’s Law will inevitably prevail and stuff things up royally! 😉
