Season 14, Episode 12: My Villainous Imagination, Mr. Combs, Mr. Lester

More information would have been helpful.

It has been brought to my attention that Irregular Webcomic, a LEGO comic most of you should be familiar with, has started updating again.  Thanks Jens!  What are you guys waiting for?  Go! Read!  I’ll wait.  No I won’t, but go read anyway.

  1. Mr. Speck says:

Now I’m going to have to start delving through my SF collection to figure out if a telepath named “Lester” is a reference to anything…

    • BrickVoid says:

Googling it, I get Chris Lester, Phil Lester, Lester del Rey (SF author) – some interesting topics about telepaths but nothing concrete as of yet! 😀

      • maarvarq says:

Reference to Alfred Bester, possibly. Sorry for the double post, but see the other one for the link.

        • BrickVoid says:

Maybe? I didn’t say in my other post that the Chris and Phil Lester entries in the Google search results mentioned “evil” in their title or description. 😀 So maybe it isn’t what you think it could be? All possibilities, of course, but we’ll have to wait and see what Dr. Legostar came up with! 😉

  2. maarvarq says:

    “Lester” => “Bester”, presumably.

    • Mr. Speck says:

Yeah, that’s the obvious thought – but this guy doesn’t seem evil.

    • xKiv says:

      Not just Lester.
      Albert Lester.
That’s almost Allert Bester, which … isn’t exactly Alfred Bester. That was the best I could do. I should have done bester.

  3. Joe says:

Not only updating, but David Morgan-Mar is running a Kickstarter to get the Fantasy arch published *in print* (I hope you are cool with me posting the link, otherwise just delete it… apologies! I’m not affiliated with it, but backing it and hoping it makes the cut)

  4. Joe says:

Unrelated: The vote incentive has been the same for a year or so – at least for me. Is that my fault or is something wrong?

  5. JH-M says:

I… have been mentioned in an online comic? My life Is complete! Hurray!

Wait, how did you get my name?

  6. Oldfan says:

I like the fact that Mr. Combs jams on the guitar during his offtime; what a great way to silence all those voices in your head (along with the l-Pod–that’s Lego-Pod).

The next time he has to read Johnny’s mind, I expect to him to hear “Everthing is Awesome”…
