It seems to me the good Mr Combs thinks he has had portions of his memory telepathically wiped, and is going to the one person on the ship he thinks might be able to help. What I’m not sure about, is whether or not this is supposed to be obvious to the reader. Have we had telepaths removing memories before in this strip?
