4675636B

"Motherf*****g c***sucking g**damn son of a b**ch."--46.

4675636B or 46 is a robot designed for security who developed a personality based on caustic humor and general annoyance. He is angry and short with everyone and quick to spout off any number of vulgarities whether the situation calls for them or not. He is dedicated and proud of his job as Chief of Security of the Muffin and takes it as a personal insult when prisoners escape from him. Being a Droid he is ever vigilant and generally antisocial.

Biography

Creation

Security unit 4675636B or simply 46 was built on Io Station at the Io Droid Facility as part of a new batch of security droids who were expected to exceed their original programing and begin to think for themselves, allowing for better security through innovative thinking rather than simple route procedures. The project is considered a failure as a whole.
46 was the only model of 636B line not melted down into scrap metal after many of the droids became insane and started killing randomly. 46 survived almost by chance as he had been assigned to an isolated colony in the Thade system. The recall order never reached Thade 3 and thus 46 was never recalled. To date there have been no issues with 46 to the extent that nobody has been killed who "didn't deserve it," as 46 says.
46 is armed with a split phase ion canon? on one "hand" and a multiphasic scanning system on the other. His body is primarily a titanium alloy and he is designed to withstand excessive damage.

Service Record

After his original stint on Thade 3 46 was assigned as a security droid on Hepron Prime where he monitored import and export of goods and people. As his program continued to expand he quickly became bored with a job that could be performed by an older model that required no free thinking. Or a human being with a highschool eduction. When he voiced his displeasure he was dismissed and sent to the prison colony on Vego due to his power core consisting of Asimovium and thus resistant to the dampening field on the planet. En route to Vego, however the ship was hijacked by Space Pirates intent on stealing everything of value on board the ship and killing the crew. 46 single handedly (canonedly) defeated the Space Pirates and earned the respect of the 78 people on board the ship who did not lose their lives thanks to his actions. One of those people was then Lieutenant Commander Hermes Rodrigo.
L.C. Rodrigo successfully attempted to instate 46 in the Alliance Navy and the two worked together for many years as Hermes rose to the rank of Captain. On board Captain Rodrigo's first command, the newly commissioned Muffin, 46 was assigned the task of Chief of Security, a job which he coveted, though he would never show it outwardly.
When Captain Rodrigo left the Muffin he instructed 46 to stay there as the Chief of Security. 46 was reluctant to abandon his friend, but obeyed orders. 46 has grown to respect Captain Smith but still considers himself loyal to Captain Rodrigo. 46 is the only original member of the Muffin's crew to still be there.

Personality

As the first robot to serve on a ship in the Alliance 46 is very proud (and vulgar). His enhanced circuits allow him to feel humans emotions such as annoyance and frustration, which gives him a wide range of foul language. Deep down he has a heart of 24 karat gold, which he likes to keep polished and shiny, even though he portrays a rough exterior.

Associations

46 keeps mostly to himself, though he has formed a relationship with Johnny's ex-wife Robotija. He is forever loyal to Captain Rodrigo but he maintains a loyalty to his current commanding officer.
46 is a member of the Robot Union #405 and is ready to strike for them whenever he needs a day off.

Behind the Scenes

  • 46 was strongly inspired by Bender of Futurama, thus the choice of John DiMaggio to voice him.
  • 4675636B has a fitting translation from 8-bit Unicode.
