The Alliance Navy
The Alliance Navy is the branch of the Unified Galactic Alliance Armed Forces which deals primarily with ships, both space and planet bound. The bulk of the Alliance Fleet is commanded and run by the Alliance Navy.

Ranks
The organization of Ranks in the Alliance Navy is based on old Earth Naval ranks.

Uniforms

The Alliance Navy has the most diverse range of uniforms in the Alliance Armed Forces. The Standard uniform is white, with higher ranking officers often, but not always, wearing colored epaulets to denote rank (Ensigns: no epaulets. Lieuteant JG, Lieutenant, Lieutenant Commander: Yellow. Commander, Captain: Red). Ensigns are often seen wearing red uniforms also, but often not for very long, and blue uniforms for medical and science specialists. Naval officers who hold positions on Space Stations have a slightly different blue and white uniform closer to an Admiral's uniform, Admirals also wear blue epaulets to denote their rank in addition to their differing uniform.
