The Alliance Science Council
The Alliance Science Council is a scientific association strongly associated with military who's members are scientists first and military officers second. They are most often science officers, engineers, and medics on board Navy ships.
History
The Alliance Science Council was formed out of a desire to maintain a mandate of scientific exploration around the galaxy rather than the Alliance becoming solely a military organization. The Science Council was founded by a joint group of Humans, Nuzzalari, and Aarkaash during the founding and first signing of the Alliance Constitution and became an important and highly respected aspect of the Alliance.
As the Alliance has grown so has the Science Council, however the primary members continue to be made up mostly of the three races that founded the council, the reasoning behind this has not yet been explained by the Council or its members, however there are no restrictions on race in the Science Council.
Uniforms

Science Council uniforms are based on the Standard White Uniforms of the Alliance Navy but take a different color, Yellow for Science Officers, Black for Engineering Officers, and Blue for Medical Officers, though their ranks are important they are less signified on the uniforms as their scientific background is of more significance to them.
