Nuzzalari

Nuzzalari are a humanoid race from the inner rim world of Nuzzalar who bear a mood sensitive antenna atop their heads. They were a founding member of the Alliance and maintain a strong presence within the government.

Biology and Appearance

The Nuzzalari are a humanoid race with grey skin and an antenna atop their heads which changes color based on strong emotions felt by the individual. The Nuzzalari evolved due to a bacterial process and they are, by all biological standards, classified as a type of intelligent cheese.
They have green blood and a tricardiac system, with three hearts each helping passage of blood through their system.
Though to outside races their appears to be no difference between nuzzalari sexes, nuzzalari themselves have no problems distinguishing between male and female based on pheromone signatures.

Culture and Society

The Nuzzalari have a rigid caste system broken up into a science caste, a warrior caste, and a worker caste. Every Nuzzalari born is placed into a caste based on their heritage and is expected to live out their lives performing the duties of that caste.
They take exception to being psychoanalyzed and have been known to participate in bloody contests in an attempt to satisfy the honor stripped away by psychoanalysis.

History

For generations the nuzzalari warred amongst themselves before coming to realize the futility of these conflicts and channeled their energies into scientific exploration. The violence of their past remains in their ritualized combat and their training with electrosticks?. Once they had reached the stars they began forming pacts with nearbye planets for sharing information and mutual protection until the day when seven major alliances pulled together to form the Alliance.

Behind the Scenes
