Late Night With Boba Fett

Plot Synopsis

Late night talk show host Boba Fett interviews guests Ass and Jack and looks for a new musical sidekick.

Plot Summary

Boba Fett comes on to introduce us to a new attempt at a band leader, a Battle Droid which he immediately dismisses as a bad idea and that they are still looking. He also informs us that he has guests from a webcomic called Ass + Jack who will be out shortly.
Ass and Jack and brought out and discuss the ramifications of now being three dimensional as their personalities remain 2 dimensional. After the commercial Boba discusses their future plans and finds out that they have none, when they request a job he calls security.
They are eventually given janitorial jobs and Jack expresses much delight that the christian rock band Creed will be performing soon, to which Ass responds that they are of low quality. Boba admits that he is simply having them on the show to sell their bounties to the highest bidder.
Boba then continues to search for a band leader, going through a wookie, an R2 unit, an ewok, and the author of the comic. He finally settles on trumpet playing C3PO, the best they could find, who promises never to tell him the odds, at gunpoint.

Critical Reception

References and Allusions

  • Ass + Jack was a webcomic run briefly by a friend of the Author, the comic no longer exists but it was this friend's comic attempts that aided the Author in his desire to create a comic
  • At this point in his life the Author found making fun of Creed amusing, however irrelevant the joke is for posterity
  • This is where Late Night with Boba Fett began to become a staple of the comic
