The Devil and Johnny Danger

Plot Synopsis

Romance is hard, but it doesn't mean you need to make a deal with the devil.

Plot Summary

On Coruscant, Johnny and Sven escorted Kayla Waif to a celebrity part at Droid Bar. When interviewed at the door by Jora Rhine she brushed them off as her body guards they moved on. Johnny complained about her comment but Sven wasn't really interested in hearing his story again. Sven could not understand how they got the assignment but he quickly realized that Johnny was responsible and though Johnny tried to justify it by indicating that Kayla had received threats on her life he didn't accept the situation.
Johnny saw Kayla talking with Daryl Higgins, whom he did not actually recognize but decided to butt in and see if he was bothering her. The ensuing argument lead to Kayla telling Johnny could protect her best from the bar. At the bar Johnny ordered a drink and was about to drown his sorrows when he was approached by a strange demonic looking man. Mr. Church, as he called himself, offered Johnny a chance to have Kayla, for the small price of his soul. Mr. Church gave Johnny some time to think about it and vanished into thin air, which Johnny found incredibly suspicious.
Sven found Johnny at the bar and explained that Kayla had been making disparaging remarks about them again which lead Johnny to confront Kayla and explained that she had to keep up appearances for the public and badmouth Johnny and Sven to that end. She left him feeling despondent and he wandered back to the bar. At the bar he found an old guy in a Hawaiian shirt and a pony tail who explained that love was never something easy to deal with, it took a lot of work, but it was enough to convince Johnny not to take Mr. Church's deal.
After Johnny wandered away Mr. Church accused the old guy of being someone called the Vagabond but it turned out that the old guy had instead been a future version of Johnny brought there by the Vagabond to prevent Johnny from selling his soul to Mr. Church. Johnny asked to be sent back home to his family and the Vagabond made it happen. The Vagabond and Mr. Church argued briefly and then went their separate ways.
