Some Light Revenge

Plot Synopsis

A long overdue foe returns.

Plot Summary

Sensors indicated that the Lenseflarian had returned to get revenge on the Muffin after many years. The Lenseflarian that attacked the ship now was much larger and had a stronger energy signature than the previous encounter, but the crew had prepared and upon seeing the sensor readouts Captain Smith ordered Shauna to initiate a shield protocol that would protect against the energy being.
After several attempts to get through the shields the lenseflarian emitted signals that appeared to be an attempt to communicate. The crew tried to translate but before they could a smaller energy being, recognized as the one they had encountered previously appeared and the two began to argue. While they exchanged energy readings Bob was able to interpret them as a form of communication and use a similar algorithm Shauna had already created for one of her droids and modify it to translate what they were saying.
Once the language barrier was down they were able to hear that the two lenseflarians were arguing as mother and child and that the larger mother had not been informed that her child had done damage to the ship which was why it had been imprisoned and had run back to her crying. Now able to communicate with them Bob expressed his apologies to them both and hoped that they could establish some kind of report. The mother lenseflarian agreed, and Bob stated that he would send the communication algorithm to other ships so another incident of miscommunication would not occur. The mother lenseflarian indicated that she did not even realize that matter based lifeforms could communicate and that she could have destroyed them on a whim. While this terrified the crew it made them happy to have created an ally out of such a being rather than a new enemy. Bob and Marty mused that things seemed to be going well and that probably meant bad things were on the horizion.
