Plot Synopsis

Mad science and the crew cross paths.

Plot Summary

The crew came to the aid of a creature named Ambion aboard his damaged ship?. Ambion claimed the ship was a research vessel and Bob, Marty, and Shauna came on board to see if they could help with the problem.
As he conversed with Ambion, Bob quickly grew more and more suspicious about the nature of the crew and the nature of Ambion's research, finding it especially curious when he discovered Ambion was an evolutionary biologist. Ka'lar approached Marty about Ambion being a monster and their creator, not a benefactor and Marty quickly took this information to the Captain and Shauna, who had discovered that the damage to the ship was intentional, and they deduced a situation had been created where someone might arrive to help those under Ambion's thumb.
After some debate they agreed to help and confronted Ambion who denied everything up until the point he lost his temper and had his second in command, Rani attack them. Rani quickly found Shauna to be more than a match for her but the two continued to fight, while more of Ambion's men attacked Bob, Marty, and Ka'lar.
Shauna eventually managed to distract Rani with promises of fruity cocktails and further curiosity was sparked with Marty's mention of Country Line Dancing. The crew quickly turned on Ambion and he was thrown off the ship to fend for himself, a mistake Bob suggested might come back to bite them later. Ka'lar was willing to accept that possibility and both crews went their separate ways.
