Plot Synopsis

Johnny visits his mother and is subjected to food and personal questions.

Plot Summary

As Johnny eats his dinner his mother begins to question first why he doesn't visit more often, visiting only to have his laundry done, at which point Johnny admits that he doesn't know how to work the machine. She proceeds to question how his uniforms get so dirty and he explains the nature of most planets that he visits.
Mrs. Danger then goes on to ask about when Johnny is planning to settle down with a nice Serbian girl and Johnny protests that he doesn't wish to limit himself to one group or species, and that he'd like to play the field. Mrs. Danger interprets this as him not finding a girl, to which he admits. She then goes on to suggest a serbian robot girl that Johnny might like Johnny protests that he is not into robots and that he has told her so often.
As Johnny is leaving his mother offers to make him sandwiches and when he refuses she goes into detail how they came to Tau Ceti V with only two suitcases. As Johnny is leaving his mother suggests that she and his father could come visit, see his "crew" and Johnny agrees but states that perhaps he should make a few corrections, such as "he is not the captain of the ship."

References and Allusions

  • The Author has had some variation of the types of conservations in this episode with his own parents, but the characters in the comic are exaggerations of his real parents. His parents also do not speak with a Russian accent, though he often gives them one when doing imitations.
