All's Fair in Lab and War

Plot Synopsis

When Belinda works with the Research Lab she finds herself dealing with several people and problems she had not expected.

Plot Summary

Captain Smith orders Belinda to head down to the Research Lab in an attempt to find weapons technology to help in the war. When she reaches the lab she finds it is run by none other than Dr. Malcom Notio. Dr. Notio introduces Belinda to his staff and to his graduate student, Mark. He explains some of the pest problems they've been having and the research being done in lightsaber defense. Dr. Notio explains that cortosis can be used to build weapons that resist lightsaber attacks but that they will have to work with the Space Ninjas to obtain the ore from the Space Pirates. Jeff introduces his associates Stan the Ninja and Mitch the Ninja and says that they will be traveling into Space Pirate space to get the ore and that they could use Belinda's help. She declines, with a lot more insistence than they had expected. Though she will not talk about it in flashback we see that Belinda's mother was married to a Space Pirate. Alice tries to console Belinda but fails fairly miserably.
