Plot Synopsis

Tensions between Shauna and Lt. Pascal come to a head.

Plot Summary

Though Shauna had been warned to stay away from Lieutenant Pascal things become unavoidable when Pascal comes to Shauna's workshop to further suggest she needs to adjust to uniform regulations. Shauna's temper surges from the already agitated point and she tells off Pascal, in the process revealing her relationship with Captain Smith. Things further escalate and Shauna insists there is no problem as her rank is equal to that of Captain and that she outranks Pascal anyway. Lieutenant Pascal will have none of this and one things leads to another when Shauna strikes Pascal with a wrench. The fight takes them all across the workshop and they end up gaining a small audience. In the end Shauna triumphs and both end up in Sickbay. When Pascal comes to Dr. Reines informs her that she realizes that she is a nythrian and that was the only way she could have stood up to Shauna and come out with as little damage as she did. Pascal is scared that there will be problems due to her heritage but Belinda assures her that no one really cares. Shauna is disappointed to find out Pascal was a nythrian as it meant she could have hit her harder, but things simmer down when they realize exactly why Pascal had been so uptight and what she was hiding. Captain Smith even lets her enforce her uniform regulations, but not on Shauna, for fear of his own life.
The episode also contains to rather belated pieces of fan art.
