Plot Synopsis

The Muffin transports a dangerous prisoner and things go awry.

Plot Summary

When the psychotic genius Dr. Samuel Kramer is being transported to Vego the crew of the Muffin are unsurprisingly picked to ship him. Lt. Cmdr. Cunningham secures him in place with sophisticated technology and assures the onlookers it is perfectly safe. Kramer's past with Lt. Cmdr. Alice Tolman comes out and her fear of him escalates as he inexplicably finds a knife and breaks his bonds. After stabbing Robin with a poison tipped knife he begins to take over the ship and shut systems down for the sole purpose of chasing down Alice and completing the murder he never got to finish in his younger days. Captain Smith beseaches his crew for help but Belinda is tending to Robin and Shauna can only seem to open one door at a time. Dr. Kramer manges to chase Alice into Engineering where Shauna is able to hold him off long enough to seal Alice in the warp chamber where she'll be safe when Kramer comes through the door. Kramer, however, underestimates Shauna who puts a live wire to the floor of Engineering turning the walls of and ceiling of the room into a giant conductor. Her jumpsuit is heavily insulated however and thus only Kramer takes the brunt of the electroshock therapy.
When Kramer awakes he is incapacitated in sickbay with Belinda demanding a cure for the poison he put in Robin. When he refuses she informs him that she has put the same toxin into his system and if he doesn't give her the antidote he will die too. He relents and she cures Robin, but when Kramer begs for the cure himself Belinda hesitates and allows him to suffer rather than saving him immediately. Once given the cure Belinda sedates him and they complete their journey to Vego, eager to bid rid of the madman.
