There are many fairly obvious references in the comic, can you spot the really obscure and subtle ones?

You know, since nobody's actually posted to this thread after you started it, how about you put in the really obscure and subtle references that we've missed so far, then we can read up on and enjoy them?

I'm from Australia, a lot of the US-specific or Canadian-specific ones I probably wouldn't find unless you told me what they were.

Okay, I might have to do that, but many of them are just references to movies or books or tv shows well outside the genre.
