Plot Synopsis

Shauna gets a surprise visit from her little brother.

Plot Summary

Shauna was surprised when, while docked at Vando Station she received a visit from her little brother Nicholas. He informed her that he was headed out on a deep space exploration mission and that the money was good and while Shauna was skeptical she didn't want to stand in his way. While they ate dinner in Twelve Forward 46 approached them and deduced that Nix was a security risk, which Shauna and Nix agreed was probably true.
After dinner they made their way to the Station for Shauna to pick up some spare parts and spend a little more time together. They were confronted by Nix's employer, Stanton Darvish, who was being pushed around in the hover chair by his nurse Moira Silvis. Nix informed Darvsih that the ship was ready but the main reason they were not ready to go was that their pilot was quite drunk, at which point they looked over at the viridian and he collapsed on the floor.
Shauna and Nix picked Vorik up off the floor and informed him the coffee he had been drinking had been heavily fortified with liquor and the fact that he had 19 cups only made matters worse. As they got Vorik back to the ship Nix revealed that the ship belonged to Jeremy Winslow who Shauna had dated when they were younger. She questioned Nix's sanity about going on a mission with Jeremy and how he was incapable of maturing, which he quickly proved when he met them at the airlock.
Shauna and her brother said their goodbyes in true sibling fashion and Nix went off to find adventure, while adventure would likely find Shauna without her looking for it.
