Plot Synopsis
Jeff is forced to take on a mission he's not sure he can complete.
Plot Summary
Jeff, Stan, and Mitch received a message from the Sensei to track down a member of their Order, So Waan Shin who had stole an important artifact, the Dragon Sword?. His last known location had been Ondello and they made their way there only to find nothing.
After puzzling it over, Jeff had them set course for Shogun, because it was the kind of thing he would do if he had taken the sword. Jeff found So Waan Shin there and confronted him. Shin felt that the sword was not safe with their Order and that forces out in the galaxy were moving and the Dragon Sword was a powerful weapon they could not get their hands on. When a compromise could not be reached, the two drew their swords and fought.
Jeff returned the sword to Sensei and regrettably informed him that Shin's body had been lost and he could not offer proof of his death. The Sensei hoped that they would never hear of So Waan Shin ever again and Jeff promised him that was so. What he had not told the Sensei was that the Dragon Sword he had given him was a fake, So Waan Shin had survived and taken the Sword, and Jeff had begun to believe his old friend and distrust his Master.
