The katana is the traditional weapon of the Space Ninjas. It is a single edged bladed weapon with a slight curve.
History
Katanas first appeared in feudal Japan around the 15th century. Although originally used as a standard military sword, it's use spread to ninja groups where it became a popular weapon. When humanity spread into space, so did the ninjas, who brought the Katana with them.
Construction
Forged through the ancient practice of swordsmithing, the katana is one of the strongest, most deadly bladed weapons known to man. With the advent of modern technology, they have become even more effective, being now lighter and stronger. Due to what is probably an alloy with cortosis, current katanas are capable of resisting the effects of a lightsaber blade.
