Season 10, Episode 17: Resistance is Futile, Captain Ylissa Vella

Truthfully, it’s not nearly as big as I would like it to be, but I didn’t really have the means to display and photograph something much larger.  I figured this worked well enough.

New vote incentive over at top webcomics.  I’m trying something new over at the vote incentive.  They will be available for viewing elsewhere in the future for those who miss it, and while it might seem like they don’t exactly relate to the comic you will eventually see that they do and for now you’ll have to take it on faith that they occur within the LGverse.  I would really love some feedback on them too.

  1. Mr. Speck says:

I’ve been waiting for these guys to show up, although this seems a little abrupt.

  2. Bob says:

    More greebles!

  3. BrokenEye, the True False Prophet says:

So wait. . . the Borg are rearranging people’s furniture? That doesn’t sound like them.

Then again, its most likely no the Borg at all but some Borg-analog

  4. BrickVoid says:

Resistance is futile – but the Borg are going to learn that some ship captains will never be assimilated! ;)

  5. Louise says:

    *SQUEE*

But are they going to be Next Generation-style Borg or Voyager-style Borg? By Voyager they were much easier to beat.

    • WJS says:

Yeah, they kind of lost all credibility as a major threat when they were repeatedly beaten by one tiny scout ship.

In universe, the only reasonable explanation is that the Enterprise seriously overestimated the Borg when they first met them.

      • DrLegostar says:

I like to believe that the Borg were intentionally letting Voyager’s crew win as a way to lull the Federation into thinking the Borg were weaker than they were. In fact, I feel like everything with the Queen starting with First Contact was all part of an elaborate ruse on the part of the Borg.

        • WJS says:

That doesn’t really make a lot of sense though. First, Voyager is isolated in the Delta quadrant, going easy on them doesn’t fool the Federation at large. And second, why would they want to fool the Federation that way anyway? If they were really as strong as they first appeared, they could just steamroll the Federation with brute force. We know they have a numbers advantage and are stronger on a unit-for-unit basis.

  6. brickmack says:

    Needs nore greebles.

  7. Darg says:

Literally the first thing in my head on seeing that last panel was “Oh shit…”
Now to see what kind of strange twist the LGS Borg will have, and how the furniture rearranging ties into it all.

  8. T. Gatto says:

Reference the incentive strips, they are as a whole just as enjoyable as the LG main strips.
Don’t know where you are going with the recent ones, but I’m sure it will be worth the wait.

I just don’t know how you keep track of things, I constantly have to go back and look things up.
I would love to see your notes, and out-take photos.

  9. Rob says:

Ooooo I saw the big cube like ship and immediately thought of Vogons, (a vaguely humanoid but more slug like intergalactic freeway builders who destroyed Earth to complete a construction project in Douglas Adam’s Hitchhikers Guide series). But just what are the Vogons doing here and why are their ships now grey and not yellow? Or more to the point what has the crew of the Muffin done to upset the Vogsphere, dun dun duhhhh

  10. James says:

I was wondering when or if we would see the Borg.
Just had a scary thought, Borg Jedi/Sith

    • WJS says:

I don’t know if that would be much of a threat. Borg drones are slow, lumbering, mindless targets, and stripping their individuality would probably cause a Jedi to lose their powers.

  11. Grimlock13 says:

    Ikea borg, the worst kind

  12. Null says:

oh come on. I was expecting the chapter name to be some stupid pun such as:

    Resistance is Futon
    Resistance is Textile

there are probably more but I can’t think of anything else.
