So begins the first episode of Season 18: The Vault. You might be asking when does this take place in the comic as we know it? The best answer is a little bit after here. This was when Marty and Belinda went to recruit the Troopers to help with the King in Yellow, something we saw nothing of at the time aside from a one off joke.
I’ve had some questions about what I’m doing with this come back, so let me try to explain again. Season 18, which we’re starting now, will be an experiment of sorts. It’s going to fill in some gaps that I’ve created intentionally or unintentionally and tie some things together. The last few episodes of season 16 will be put up as soon as I get them finished and I’ll link to them from the main page so you know when it happens, but they end in some cliff hangers that won’t be resolved till Season 19. This is not to say that Season 18 isn’t important to the overall plot of the comic, it will become very important, but I’m just doing things a bit differently, because I like to experiment. If you don’t enjoy this experiment, then you may consider it a failure. We’ll see what the consensus is at the end. Also for now I won’t be doing the weekend comics. I’ve got a lot going on but I wish to continue with the comic, so I’m going to focus on the main 5 days a week and leave it at that for now. It worked for when I started, it can work again now.
